James is a movement and meditation teacher and writer based on Soho, London. He had a fast-paced career in branding and marketing in the beauty industry and eventually found his way onto the mat teaching hatha and vinyasa yoga in Soho, London. Yoga, mindfulness, and qigong have transformed James' life and health, freeing him from a lifetime of self-destructive behaviours and giving his life clarity, purpose and meaning. James teaches in a way which is emotionally intelligent but direct, disciplined but playful, logical but humorous.
After studying English at the University of Cambridge, James worked in London with large corporates while immersing himself in the study and practice of yoga and mindfulness. His extensive formal training spanned several years, before he dedicated himself to teaching yoga full time. James completed 400hour Triyoga Teacher Training Diploma, 200hour Yoga Alliance Certification, he is certified as a teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga, a certified member of the International Mindfulness Teachers Association. In addition James is a qualified Qigong Teacher, trained by Matthew Cohen, he has a Level 3 REPS Personal Training qualification and is also Mat Pilates Level 3 certified...what an impressive list!!
